Frequently Asked Questions

Dr. Borthwick is happy to discuss any questions that you may have about her services.

No, a referral is not required to obtain our services.

Our clients are often self-referred due to concerns noted by one’s family, physicians, teachers and/or related professionals. Although a formal referral is not required often family physicians, developmental pediatricians and/or related professionals such as speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists etc. may recommend a psycho-educational assessment.

Dr. Borthwick may be contacted to set up an initial appointment by either:

1. Calling the office at (416) 432-3729
2. Email the office at info@educationalmatterspsych.com
3. Click here to Request a Consultation

Dr. Borthwick understands that it can be difficult to know when it may be the “right time” to participate in an assessment. She understands that the initial process may feel overwhelming. This is why she offers families a complimentary 15 minute session to introduce herself, help answer any questions that you may have and to ensure that you feel comfortable with the assessment process.
